BNS Section 215
Whoever being in charge of a hospital public or private contravenes the provisions of section 449 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023 which mandates that hospitals provide first-aid or medical treatment to victims of accidents or offences shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine or with both.
ℹ️ Classification & Key Notes

Up to 1 year or fine or both. New provision in BNS - hospitals public and private are legally required to provide first-aid and medical treatment to victims of crimes. Refusal is now a criminal offence.
