Whoever fraudulently removes effaces or destroys an impression made by a Government stamp or fraudulently uses a stamp which has been used for and removed from a document to which it was affixed shall be punished with imprisonment for life or with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years and shall also be liable to fine.
